Claire Lefebvre (she/her) was born in Naarm/Melbourne and currently lives and works in Europe. She has held numerous solo exhibitions in Naarm, Regional Victoria and Sydney since 2013, and has been included in group exhibitions in Melbourne, Albany (WA), Regional Victoria and Sydney since 2009. She holds a Masters of Fine Art (with Distinction) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (2014) and a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Painting) from Monash University (2006).
Claire has been a finalist in the National Emerging Art Prize, OMNIA Art Prize, Hornsby Art Prize, Albany Art Prize, and M Collection Award and in 2014 won the RMIT Alumni Award. She has completed directed and self-directed artist residencies in Barcelona (ESP), Naarm / Melbourne (AUS), Merimbula (AUS) and was Artist-in-Residence and program facilitator with collaborator Zoltan Fecso for the Winter Wild Festival in Apollo Bay (AUS) in 2021 and 2022. In 2023 Claire and Zoltan launched their ongoing project 'What Artists Eat'. Her latest solo exhibition “Mythic Ground: New Stories for Old Lands” was held in 2025.

The Attunement Portal is a digital sanctuary exploring contemporary art, symbolism and attentive living as pathways to a richer inner life.
Through essays, meditations, visual collections and creative invitations, it offers an artist-led rhythm of returning to beauty, meaning and creative vitality. It is where my two decades of devotion to the study and practice of art, yoga, spirit and Nature all intersect.

The Selkie
A Balm for Longing & Belonging
Art is a living mythic language. Informed by the many tellings of the Selkie tale in folklore, this painting is a meditation on longing and belonging, the way the wild instinctual sea calls to something in all of us.
The Selkie’s skin, her return, her refusal to be contained all are invitations to remember what feels like home, and to continue asking “What parts of myself are waiting to be called back?”
