Claire Lefebvre (she/her) lives and works on Wurundjeri Land in Naarm/Melbourne, australia and in 2014 completed a Master of Fine Arts, with Distinction. Her five solo shows in Naarm/Melbourne include "Lush Layer Light" at ODCE (2018), "Awe Is What Moves Us Forward" at Alternating Current Art Space (2017), "United States of Curiosity" at Red Gallery (2016), "Luminous Numinous" at Tinning Street Presents (2016) and "New Work" at Side Car Gallery (2013). In 2022 she presented a series of works on paper at The Project Space Apollo Bay alongside a performance by Zoltan Fecso as part of the Development Lab Artist in Residence program and also hosted several soundwalks as part of the Winter Wild Festival.
Her numerous group exhibitions in Naarm/Melbourne and Eora/Sydney include “Coast to Coast” (Saint Cloche 2022), “Valley” (The Project Space, 2022), "Red Stocking" (Red Gallery, 2016), “For the Love of Colour” (Gallerysmith Project Space, 2015), “Real Delirium” (N/A Gallery, 2014). Claire was shortlisted for the M Collection Prize and won the RMIT MFA Alumni Prize in 2014, was named a finalist in both the Albany Art Prize and the Hornsby Art Prize in 2015 and was shortlisted for the St Kevin's Art Show in 2019.
Most recently Claire and collaborator Zoltan Fecso announced the launch of their project What Artists Eat. In 2022 Claire was part of the Saint Cloche “Coast to Coast” fundraising exhibition in Paddington, Eora/Sydney that raised $67,000 for aid in the Northern Rivers, NSW and Ukraine. She was the Artist in Residence with Zoltan Fecso on Gadubanud Land in Apollo Bay, Victoria as part of the Winter Wild Festival in 2021 and was part of the Winter Wild program in 2022 alongside collaborator Zoltan Fecso with their soundwalks project.
